1. Download and install the Easy Transfer Tool from Microsoft. This is a free tool that lets you transfer files, settings, and programs from one computer to another.
2. Connect the computers with an Ethernet cable, or use a USB drive if they are not close enough.
3. Open Easy Transfer on the old machine and click “Create a Transfer Wizard”. Select “This Is My Old Computer” and complete the wizard.
4. Move the transfer file to the new machine. You can do this with a USB drive or over the network.
5. On the new machine, open Easy Transfer and choose “This Is My New Computer”. Select the transfer file and follow the wizard.
6. When the transfer is complete, you should have all of your settings from your old computer transferred to the new one.
