In Windows, there are a few different ways to view hidden files and folders.
A hidden file or folder is one that has been given the attributes to not be visible in the normal directory view. This can be done by flagging it as “hidden” or by adding a period at the beginning of the file name or folder name.
The first way to view hidden files and folders is to go into Folder Options. To do this, open any folder window and then click on “Tools” at the top of the window. Then select “Folder Options” from the menu. On the “View” tab, select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” under “Hidden files and folders”. You can also uncheck “Hide protected operating system files” if you want to view protected system files as well. Once you have done this, you will be able to view all the hidden files and folders.
The second way to view hidden files and folders is to use the command prompt. To do this, open the Command Prompt window by going to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. Then type “dir /ah” (without the quotes) and press Enter. This will give you a listing of all hidden files and folders in the current directory you are in.
The third way to view hidden files and folders is to use Windows Explorer. To do this, open Windows Explorer by going toStart > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer. On the left side of the window, click on the arrow next to “My Computer” to expand it and then double-click on the drive or folder you want to view. Then, click on “View” at the top of the window and select “Show Hidden Files and Folders”. This will allow you to view all the hidden files and folders in the current directory you are in.
Once you have been able to view the hidden files and folders, you can do whatever you need to with them such as copy them or delete them. Just make sure that you know what you are doing before you do anything because some of the hidden files and folders may be important system files.
