1. First you will need to open up your main system settings. This can usually be done by clicking on the Start menu in the lower left hand corner of your screen, selecting Settings, and then choosing Network & Internet.
2. Once you are in Network & Internet, you can choose the type of connection that you would like to change the settings for (e.g. Wireless or Ethernet).
3. In the following screen, you will see a list of all the networks that your computer can connect to, or is currently connected to. Select the network that you would like to edit.
4. Once you have selected the network that you would like to edit, click on the “Edit” button in the lower right corner of the window.
5. You will now be able to edit any of the settings associated with the profile, such as the Network Name (SSID), Channel, and Security Type, among others.
6. After you have finished making changes, click Save to save your changes, or Cancel to keep them as they were.
7. If necessary, you can also use this same window to enter information such as the password or encryption key for the network.
8. When you are finished making all the necessary changes, click OK to exit the window.
9. You should now be able to connect to the updated network using the new settings.
10. To make sure that your settings have taken effect, you may want to disconnect from the network and reconnect to check that everything is working correctly.
