1. Click Start and select Settings.
2. Select “Control Panel”.
3. Select the “Add/Remove Programs” icon.
4. Scroll down the list of programs and select the driver software you wish to uninstall.
5. Click the “Change/Remove” button.
6. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the uninstall process.
7. Once complete, click the “Ok” button.
8. Click the “Start” button again.
9. Select “Control Panel”.
10. Select the “System” icon.
11. Select the “Device Manager” tab.
12. A list of installed hardware will appear.
13. Double-click the hardware device which the driver software was related to.
14. A window with information about that hardware device will appear.
15. Select the “Driver” tab.
16. Click the “Uninstall” button.
17. Check the option titled “Delete the driver software for this device”.
18. Click the “Ok” button.
19. Restart your computer.
20. Check for any residual files or folders related to the driver software in the “C:\Windows\System32\drivers” folder (or other locations depending on the version of the system).
21. If any files remain, right-click them and select “Delete”.
22. Click “Yes” when prompted.
23. Delete any additional registry entries associated with the driver software by running the Registry Editor.
24. Click Start, then select Run.
25. Type “regedit” and press Enter.
26. Navigate to the following directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
27. Right-click any entries with the driver software name and select “Delete”.
28. Close the Registry Editor.
29. Reboot the computer to ensure a proper removal of all associated software.
30. The driver software should now be completely removed from the system.
