1. To configure Windows Update through the Control Panel, first open the Control Panel. To do this, go to the Start menu on your Windows computer and select the Control Panel option.
2. Within the Control Panel, select the System and Security category. This will open a list of options related to system and security.
3. From the list of options, select the Windows Update option. This will open the Windows Update page.

You can then specify the time when you would like the updates to be installed. You can also choose what kind of updates you would like to download, such as important updates, recommended updates, or drivers.
6. If you prefer to manually choose what updates to install, you can select the “Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them” option. With this setting enabled, Windows will notify you when there are updates available and you will be able to select which updates you would like to install.
7. In addition, you can also customize how often Windows will check for updates. You can choose to have Windows check for updates daily, weekly, or monthly.
8. When you are done configuring the settings, click the “OK” button to save your changes. After this, Windows Update should be configured according to your preferences.
9. It is recommended that you regularly check for Windows Updates to ensure that your computer is up to date and secure. To check for updates, open up the Windows Update page and click the “Check for updates” button. Windows will then search for any available updates and notify you if any are found.
