Depending on the operating system, there are various ways to select multiple files. Below are instructions for selecting multiple files in Windows, Mac and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Windows:
• Press and hold the CTRL key while clicking on each of the files you want to select.
• Alternatively, you can drag your mouse to select a group of files by clicking on the first file in the group, holding down the left mouse button, and dragging the cursor over the other files until they are all highlighted.
Mac:
• Press and hold the Command key while clicking on each of the files you want to select.
• Alternatively, you can drag your mouse to select a group of files by clicking on the first file in the group, holding down the left mouse button, and dragging the cursor over the other files until they are all highlighted.
Linux/Unix:
• Press and hold the Control key while clicking on each of the files you want to select.
• Alternatively, you can drag your mouse to select a group of files by clicking on the first file in the group, holding down the left mouse button, and dragging the cursor over the other files until they are all highlighted.
You can also use the Linux command-line utility “find” to quickly select multiple files at once. Just enter the directory, filename, and extension you wish to find and it will select the set of matching files for you.
