Removing and reinstalling your graphics card drivers in Windows is a relatively easy process. First, you must make sure that the computer is powered off and that all cables and peripherals are disconnected from the system. If you are using an external graphics card, then you should also remove it from the computer.
Once everything is disconnected, open the computer’s case and locate the graphics card. To remove the driver, you should use a screwdriver to loosen the screws that are holding down the card. Once the screws are loosened, the graphics card should be able to slide out of the slot.
Now you will need to download the latest drivers for your graphics card from the manufacturer’s website. After downloading the drivers, open Device Manager. Go to the Display Adapter section, right-click on the graphics card, select Uninstall, and then follow the on-screen instructions to remove the driver.
Once the driver has been removed, you should insert the graphics card back into the slot, making sure that it is firmly seated. After the card is installed, connect all cables and peripherals to the computer and turn it on.
Now you should go back to the Device Manager and expand the Display Adapter section. You should then see an entry for the new graphics card, without any drivers installed. Right-click on the entry and click Update Driver. Select Search for Updated Software, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the graphics card drivers.
Once the drivers have been installed, you should check to make sure that everything is working properly. Go to the Settings app and check the System section to make sure that the graphics card is being detected and is using the appropriate drivers. Additionally, open a game or application that uses the graphics card to make sure that it is working properly.
If the graphics card is not working as expected, then you may need to uninstall and reinstall the drivers again. You can also try updating the drivers to the latest version. If that does not work, you may need to contact the manufacturer and look for further troubleshooting steps.
