1. Click the Start menu and type “Defragment” into the search bar.
2. Select the “Defragment and Optimize Drives” option when it appears in the search results.
3. Select the hard drive you want to defragment from the list of available drives.
4. Click the “Optimize” button to start the process.
5. Wait while the computer optimizes your hard drive. This can take anywhere from minutes to hours, depending on the size of the drive and its fragmented state.
6. When the optimization is complete, click the “Close” button.
