How do I check the network card driver version on my Windows system?

To check the network card driver version on a Windows system, first open the Control Panel. To do this, click Start, then Control Panel.

Once in the Control Panel, select System. A window will open with an overview of your currently installed system information, including the Windows version and processor type.

Select the Hardware tab at the top of the window, then click Device Manager. A list of all installed hardware on your machine will appear.

Scroll through the list until you find the Network Adapters category. This will list any installed network cards on your system.

Double-click on the name of the network card to open its properties window. Select the Driver tab at the top.

This will display the driver provider, date, version and digital signature state. In this case, the driver version is the number listed next to the Version field.

When you’ve finished checking the driver version, click the OK or Close buttons to close the properties window. You can also click Cancel if you don’t want to make any changes.

If you need to update the driver, you can usually find a suitable replacement on the website of the manufacturer of your network card, or on the website of the Windows system manufacturer.

You can also use the Windows Update utility to check for available driver updates. To do this, open the Control Panel and select Windows Update, then follow the steps for searching for new updates.
