In the Windows Control Panel you can easily adjust the system date and time. This can be done from a few different locations depending on your edition of Windows.
First, open the Control Panel in one of the following three ways:
1. Press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run dialog box. Then type “control” and press Enter.
2. Type “control panel” into Start Menu Search and press Enter.
3. Right-click on the Windows Start button and select “Control Panel”.
Once the control panel is open, you will need to locate the “Clock, Language, and Region” option. You can do this by typing the words “time” or “date” into the search box at the top right corner of the screen. This should narrow down the options available.
Once you’ve located the “Clock, Language, and Region” option, click it to open the window. Now, select “Change date and time” to view a calendar and time clock.
To change the date, simply use the arrows above the current date to flip between months, or use the calendar grid to manually select a specific day. To change the time, click and drag the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Once you are done adjusting the date and time, click the “OK” button to save your changes.
You can also access the same window by clicking the “Date and Time Settings” link found in the “Regional and Language Options” window. This can be accessed from the “Clock, Language, and Region” window by clicking the “Change date, time, or number formats” link.
If you are running Windows 10 and have joined a domain, you may not be able to change the system date and time. In this case, you will need to contact your system administrator and request the change.
That is all you need to do to change the date and time of your computer. It is a quick and easy process that can be done with a few clicks. Be sure to always check the current date and time regularly to make sure it is accurate and up to date.
