Adding Music Files to a Windows Media Player Playlist
Windows Media Player (WMP) is the default media player for Microsoft Windows operating systems. It allows users to play music and video files, as well as create custom playlists with their favorite songs and videos. Creating playlists with WMP provides an easy way to organize your music library and listen to your favorite songs.
In this article, you will learn how to add music files to a playlist in Windows Media Player.
Creating a New Playlist in Windows Media Player
To begin, open Windows Media Player and click on the “Library” tab in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open the library window where all of your music or video files are displayed.
Next, click the “Create Playlist” button in the bottom-left corner of the library window. This will open up a new window where you can name the playlist and create it. Give the playlist a unique name, then click the “Create” button.
Adding Music Files to the Playlist
Once you have created the playlist, the next step is to add music files to it. To do this, select any music files from the library window and drag them into the new playlist window. You can also add music files from other folders on your computer by navigating to the file location and dragging the files into the playlist.
You can also add music files to the playlist directly from the media player by right-clicking on the song and selecting “Add to Playlist”. A list of your existing playlists will then appear and you can select the playlist that you want to add the song to.
When adding music files to the playlist, you can rearrange the order of the songs by dragging and dropping the tracks into their desired positions.
Deleting Music Files from the Playlist
If you no longer want to include a certain song in your playlist, you can easily delete it. To do this, simply right-click on the song and select “Remove from Playlist”. Alternatively, you can also select the song and press the “Delete” key on your keyboard to remove it.
Saving the Playlist
After you have added all of the songs that you want to the playlist, you can save it so that it is ready to use whenever you need it. To save the playlist, click the “File” menu in the top-left corner of the playlist window and select “Save Playlist”.
Congratulations, you have successfully created a new playlist with music files in Windows Media Player. You can now enjoy listening to all of your favorite songs, perfectly organized in your own custom playlist.
