There are several ways to transfer files between two computers on the same network.
1. Using a USB Device: You can transfer files from one computer to another by using a USB device such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive. This is the most common and convenient method for transferring files from one computer to another. To do this, simply plug in your USB device into both computers and then copy and paste the files you wish to transfer onto the USB device. Once the copying process has finished, unplug the USB device and plug it into the other computer and you’re done!
2. Using FTP: File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a popular way of sharing files between two computers on a network. To use FTP, one of the computers must have an FTP server application installed. Once this is set up, both computers can access the server and can transfer files between them. You can use a web browser on either computer to access and transfer files between the two computers.
3. Using Network Sharing: Both computers must be connected to the same local area network (LAN) in order to share files between them. To enable file sharing, go to the Network and Sharing Center in Windows, click Change advanced sharing settings, and make sure the Network Discovery and File and Printer Sharing options are enabled. Then, click the View workgroup computers option under Network in the left-hand pane and you should be able to see both computers in the list. Right click on the file(s) you wish to share, click Share with, and select the network location you want to share it with.
4. Using a Cloud Service: Cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive are great tools for transferring files between two computers on the same network. All you need to do is sign up for a free account and then connect both computers to the same cloud service. Once the computers are connected, you can easily upload, download and transfer files between the two computers.
5. Using Email: You can also send files from one computer to another by sending an email attachment. All you need to do is attach the file you want to transfer in your email and send it to the other user’s email address. The recipient can then download the file from their email account.
Whichever method you choose, transferring files between two computers on the same network doesn’t have to be difficult. With the right tools, it can be a smooth and easy process.
