1. Review the applications and programs you currently have installed. Uninstall any that you no longer need.
2. Check your startup programs and disable any programs that start automatically with your computer. These can be found in the Task Manager.
3. Use a security program, such as an anti-virus, to regularly scan and remove any malicious software.
4. Use disk cleanup tools to delete temporary files and clean up leftover files from uninstalled programs.
5. Upgrade to a more efficient operating system if possible.
