To modify the power settings in your Windows Control Panel, you will need to access the Power Options menu. To do this:
Step 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard, then type “Control Panel” and press enter. This will open the Windows Control Panel window.
Step 2: In the Control Panel window, click the “Hardware and Sound” option.
Step 3: Click “Power Options” from the list of options on the left side of the window.
Step 4: On the left side of the Power Options window, you will see a list of predefined power plans. You can click on any of these plans to view the settings for that plan. For example, if you click on the “Balanced” plan, you will see a list of settings related to the Balanced power plan.
Step 5: To customize your power plan settings, click the “Change plan settings” link next to the power plan you want to customize.
Step 6: On the next window, you will be able to adjust the settings for the selected power plan. You can customize the settings for when the computer is running on battery power, as well as when it is plugged in.
Step 7: To make changes to the settings for when the computer is running on battery power, click the “Change advanced power settings” link.
Step 8: On the next window, you will see a list of power settings options. Each option has a drop-down menu where you can select different settings. For example, if you want to change the settings for the display brightness, you can use the drop-down menu to set the brightness level.
Step 9: When you are finished making your changes, click the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the window.
Step 10: Finally, click the “OK” button in the Power Options window to save your changes.
After following these steps, your power settings should be updated according to your preferences.
