Printer Offline Error: How to Fix
If your printer has suddenly gone offline and you’re not sure why, resolving the issue can be confusing and time consuming. Fortunately, there are relatively simple steps you can take to get your printer back online. Here are some of the most common solutions to a ‘Printer Offline’ error.
• Check the Printer Connection: The most common reason for a printer to go offline is that it is disconnected from the computer or network. Check the cables and make sure they are securely connected. If you’re using Wi-Fi, try turning the wireless connection off and then on again.
• Reset the Printer: Try resetting the printer. Uou can do this by unplugging the printer, waiting about one minute, and then plugging it back in. This may help to fix minor connectivity issues.
• Check for Firmware Updates: If you haven’t updated the printer’s firmware in a while, this could cause your printer to go offline. It’s worth checking to see if there are any updates available. You can usually find out through the manufacturer’s website, or on the printer’s Settings menu.
