There are several ways to check whether or not a graphics card is running in safe mode.
1. Using Device Manager
Device Manager is a Windows utility used for managing the hardware and software settings of a PC or server. To access Device Manager, follow these steps:
1. Open the Start menu.
2. Type “Device Manager” into the search bar.
3. Select “Device Manager” from the list of results.
Once in Device Manager, look for the “Display Adapters” section. Expand it and find the entry for your graphics card. Right-click on the entry and select “Properties”.
In the Properties window, look for the “Driver” tab. Under the Driver tab, you will find an option labeled “Safe Mode”. If this option is checked, then your graphics card is running in safe mode.
2. Checking Your Graphics Card Settings
You can also check your graphics card settings to see if it is in safe mode. To do this, you need to launch your graphics card control panel, which is usually located in the Windows Control Panel.
Once in the control panel, look for the option labeled “Driver Mode”. This is usually located in the “Advanced” section of the options. If the option is set to “Safe Mode”, then your graphics card is running in safe mode.
3. Checking System Tray Icons
If your graphics card is running in safe mode, you may also be able to tell by looking in the system tray. The system tray is the small area on the bottom-right corner of your desktop. It usually contains icons for various programs and utilities that are running in the background.
Look for an icon with a toolbox or a wrench inside of it. This is typically the graphics card control panel icon. If the icon is highlighted with a green background, then it means the driver mode is set to “Safe Mode”.
4. Checking the Video Memory
Lastly, you can also check the amount of video memory being used by your graphics card. To do this, you need to open the Task Manager. You can do so by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC.
Once in Task Manager, switch to the “Performance” tab. Under the “GPU” section, look for the “Video Memory” value. If the value is 0 MB, then your graphics card is running in safe mode.
So, those are some of the ways that you can check if your graphics card is running in safe mode. Keep in mind, however, that some graphics cards do not support safe mode, so if you cannot find any of the options listed above, then it is likely that your graphics card does not support safe mode.
