Blockchain forensic firm Elliptic has stated that there is no evidence to support the claim that Hamas is receiving significant amounts of cryptocurrency donations to fund its attacks against Israel. In a statement, Elliptic said that the amounts raised by Hamas through cryptocurrency donations “remain tiny.” The firm pointed to a prominent Hamas fundraising campaign that has only raised $21,000 since the attack on Israel on October 7. Elliptic also clarified that its data had been misinterpreted by The Wall Street Journal and US lawmakers, who claimed that over $130 million had been raised by Hamas and other groups. The firm emphasized that the data does not support these claims.
