If your monitor won’t display a picture, there are a few things you can do to try to resolve the issue:
1. Check the power cables. Make sure that both the power cable and the video cable (or cables if you have multiple monitors) are securely connected to your monitor and to your computer. If the cables appear to be properly connected but the monitor still isn’t displaying a picture, unplug the cables from both ends and then plug them back in.
2. Check the video card and ports. Make sure that there are no visible signs of damage to the video card or ports and that all of the connections are firmly in place. You can also try connecting the monitor to another port on the video card, if possible.
3. Try a different monitor. If you have another monitor, try connecting it to your computer and see if it displays a picture. This can help you to determine whether the problem is with the monitor or the video card.
4. Check the settings. Make sure that the correct video output settings are selected in your operating system. You can also try adjusting the brightness, contrast, and other display settings on the monitor.
5. Check the power supply. If the monitor has its own separate power supply, check to make sure that it is connected properly and that it is providing power to the monitor.
6. Check the monitor circuitry. If your monitor has an internal circuit board, check to make sure that there are no broken components or other signs of damage.
7. Check the connection between the monitor and the computer. Make sure that the connection between the monitor and the computer is secure. If the connection is not secure, you may need to get a new cable or adapter.
8. Check for loose connectors. Make sure that none of the connectors inside the monitor are loose or damaged.
9. Adjust the refresh rate. One of the most common causes of a blank screen is an incorrect refresh rate. You can usually adjust the refresh rate in the display settings of your operating system.
10. Check the video card drivers. If you recently installed a new video card, or updated your video card drivers, it may be causing the issue. Uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them to see if that resolves the issue.
11. Reset the monitor. If you are able to access the menu on the monitor, try resetting it by accessing the factory reset option.
12. Replace the monitor. If none of the above steps resolves the issue, you may need to replace the monitor.
