1. Power off your printer by pressing the power button.
2. Unplug the printer’s power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Wait for one minute before plugging the power cord back into the wall outlet.
4. Turn the printer on by pressing the power button.
5. Once the printer has finished its startup procedure, open up the printer’s settings.
6. Depending on your printer, access the printer’s settings either through the touchscreen display or by opening the control panel of the printer.
7. Navigate to the “Reset To Factory Defaults” option in the printer’s settings. If you are using a touchscreen, look for an icon with a factory reset option.
8. After selecting the “Factory Reset” option, your printer will ask you to confirm your action. Select “Yes” to proceed with the reset.
9. The printer will now begin the reset process and restart itself. During this process, do not turn off the printer or unplug the power cord.
10. Once the printer has restarted, it should now be in its default settings. If you are not sure, check some of the basic settings such as the print quality, paper size, and other options.
11. You may also need to reenter some of your wireless network information if you had connected the printer to your network.
12. Once satisfied with the printer’s new settings, you can now use the printer as normal.
