1. Open the PowerPoint presentation you want to save in Windows.
2. Go to the File tab in the top-left corner of the screen. This will open the File menu.
3. Click on Save As in the File menu.
4. In the Save As window that appears, choose the location where you would like to save your presentation by clicking the drop-down menu next to the Save As Type field. You can choose to save as a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation (.pptx), PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation (.ppt) or PowerPoint Show (.pps).
5. After selecting the file format, type a name for your presentation in the File Name text box.
6. Finally, click the Save button to save your presentation.
7. If you need to save a copy of your presentation in another file format or if you need to save an earlier version of the presentation, you can do so by clicking the Tools option in the Save As window. From there, you can choose the specific file type and version you need to save in.
8. Once the file type and version have been selected, click the Save As button once more to save your presentation in the new file format or version.
9. If you need to send the presentation to someone else, you can choose the File tab again and select either Send To or Share as appropriate. For example, if you need to send the presentation via email, click Send To, then choose Mail Recipient (As Attachment). This will open your default email program with the presentation already attached.
10. If you are collaborating on the presentation with other people and would like to save a version that everyone can access, select Share, then choose OneDrive or SharePoint depending on where you need to store the presentation.
11. Once the presentation has been saved, you can also use the File tab to print or export the presentation if needed. Printing options include Print, Print Preview, and Page Setup. Exporting options include creating a PDF or XPS document, sharing the presentation as a link, or exporting the presentation to a different file format.
12. When you are finished saving or sharing the presentation, click the Home or Close buttons to close the File menu. Your presentation is now saved on your computer or shared with others as needed.
