If you need to delete a file from your computer and want to move it to the Recycle Bin, here is how you can do it:
1. Locate the file you would like to delete.
2. Right click on the file’s icon, or on its name if you are viewing the file in Details view.
3. A list of choices will appear. Select “Delete” from this list.
4. Windows will ask if you are sure you would like to move the file to the Recycle Bin. Select “Yes.”
5. The file will be moved to the Recycle Bin. You can tell it’s there because the icon will have a recycle bin icon on it.
6. When you are ready, you can go to the Recycle Bin and right click on the file, selecting “Restore” to return the file to its original location.
You may also move one or more files to the Recycle Bin at once by selecting them and dragging them into the Recycle Bin folder. However, you cannot use this method to select multiple files from multiple locations.
If you would like to delete a file permanently without putting it into the Recycle Bin, you can press the “Shift” key while selecting “Delete” from the menu. This will bypass the Recycle Bin and delete the file immediately. Be careful with this method, as you won’t be able to recover the file once it has been deleted.
You can also empty the Recycle Bin, if you would like to permanently delete all of the items you have put in there. To do this, open the Recycle Bin from the Desktop, and then select “Empty Recycle Bin” from the File menu. This will permanently delete all of the items you have put in the Recycle Bin. Again, be careful as this process is irreversible.
