Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reset all control panel settings in one go. However, there are some steps you can take to reset your Control Panel settings to their original defaults.
First, open the Control Panel. To do this, click the Start button, type “Control Panel” into the Search field and select the Control Panel item from the list.
Once the Control Panel is open, locate and open the System applet. This can usually be found under the Control Panel’s System and Security category.
Within the System applet, click the Advanced system settings link in the left navigation column. A System Properties window will then appear. In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab. At the bottom of the Advanced tab, you will find a section labeled “Performance”. Click the Settings button within the Performance section.
This will open the Performance Options window. Within the Performance Options window, click the Restore Defaults button near the bottom of the window. This will reset most of the settings to their default values.
Next, launch the Programs Manager within the Control Panel. In the Programs Manager, select the option to change settings for all users. Scroll through the settings until you find the options for application appearance. Adjust these to suit your preferences.
Finally, launch the sound manager within the Control Panel. Adjust the sound settings according to your requirements.
These steps will help you reset most of the Control Panel settings to their original defaults. However, many programs install their own Control Panel settings that may not be reset by these steps. If you have any such settings, you will need to adjust them manually.
