There are several different ways to adjust display brightness, depending on the type of device being used.
If you are using a desktop computer, monitor, or laptop, the brightness can usually be adjusted through the settings menu. For Windows computers, you can access this menu by clicking on the start button, then selecting “Settings” and then “System.” On the left side of the window, click on “Display.” Then, slide the bar next to the “Brightness” heading to adjust the display brightness. On a Mac computer, you can access the settings menu by going to the Apple Menu, then selecting “System Preferences.” Once there, select “Displays” and adjust the brightness with the slider underneath the “Brightness” heading.
For mobile phones and tablets, the brightness can usually be adjusted through the device’s control center or settings menu. For Android devices, you can access the control center by swiping down from the top of the screen. Then, select brightness and adjust it accordingly. On an iPhone, you can access the control center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Then, use the brightness bar at the top of the page to adjust the display brightness.
A few devices also allow you to adjust the brightness manually, without going into the settings menu. For example, some laptop computers have a brightness switch located near the function keys. Pressing the switch will turn the brightness up or down. Some desktop monitors also allow for manual brightness control with similar switches.
Finally, some devices may have an ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts the brightness based on the amount of light in the room. This feature is available on laptops, tablets, and some smartphones. You can usually turn this feature on or off in the device’s settings menu.
