Device Manager can be accessed in the Windows Control Panel in several ways depending on the version of the Windows Operating System.
Windows 10:
1. Open the Start Menu and type “Device Manager” into the search bar at the bottom left of the screen. Click on Device Manager when it appears in the list of results.
2. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager from the list of options.
3. Open the Control Panel by right-clicking on the Start Menu or by typing “control panel” into the search bar and clicking on the Control Panel when it appears in the list of results. On the left-hand side of the window, click on “Hardware and Sound”. From the large list of hardware related options which appear, select Device Manager.
Windows 8/8.1:
1. Open the Start Menu and type “Device Manager” into the search bar at the top right of the screen. Click on Device Manager when it appears in the list of results.
2. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager from the list of options.
3. Open the Control Panel by right-clicking on the Start Menu or by typing “control panel” into the search bar and clicking on the Control Panel when it appears in the list of results. On the left-hand side of the window, click on “System and Security”. From the list of options which appear, select Device Manager.
Windows 7:
1. Open the Start Menu and type “Device Manager” into the search bar at the bottom left of the screen. Click on Device Manager when it appears in the list of results.
2. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager from the list of options.
3. Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start Menu and selecting Control Panel from the list of options. On the left-hand side of the window, click on “System and Security”. From the list of options which appear, select Device Manager.
