1. Open the Windows 10 Settings menu by clicking on the Start button and selecting the ‘gear’ icon.
2. Click on the Accounts icon.
3. Select the link labeled ‘Family & Other People’ in the left of the pane.
4. Select the ‘Add a family member’ option.
5. For Windows 10 Home users, click ‘I don’t have this person’s sign-in information’. For Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise users, click ‘Add a user without a Microsoft account’.
6. Enter your child’s name and age. Select Next.
7. Select ‘Manage family settings online’ and then log into your Microsoft account.
8. Select the ‘Set up parental controls for any family member’ option.
9. Choose your child’s name and click ‘Next’.
10. A list of parental control options will appear. You can manage what websites your child can view, restrict access to certain apps and games, set time limits on computer usage, and monitor your child’s activity. Select the options you want and customize them as needed.
11. When you are done, select ‘Done’ at the bottom of the page.
Your Windows 10 parental controls will now be active.
