💥 Japan officially began discharging treated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea on August 24th. The analysis of nearby seawater samples showed that the concentration of radioactive material tritium was below detectable limits. The Japanese government expressed “deep regret and concern” over the continuous harassing phone calls received from China after the discharge. At the same time, Japan strongly urged China to call on its citizens to stay calm and provide accurate information regarding the boycott of Japanese products and cancelation of travel groups.
